Marlyce (Martens) Gundy and Sharon (Sawatsky) Schermbrucker began singing classical and folk duets in their teens. After a long hiatus, they reunited to form the chamber group Beauty in the Blends, which has performed across the U.S. and Canada. Meanwhile, Marlyce married Jeff Gundy, and they played and sang folk music as a duo.
As the folk trio Rendezvous, Marlyce, Sharon, and Jeff now bring their close harmonies to tunes by Kate Wolf, the Wailin Jennys, Dave Carter, Old Crow Medicine Show, and others, with all three on vocals and Jeff on 6- and 12-string guitar.

In order to thwart attempts towards canonization by a secretive, yet rabid group of fans, tim lowly has performed with relative infrequency. In fact, based on his recent performance record one might assume that he is actually a painter or a professor or misguided passive flinger of marshmallows. That is, of course, if one did not know better. In the meantime, and no less secretively, lowly has of late launched into a new recording project with the covert collaboration of maestro matthew and d john b. What the outcome of this project will be is still a bit of a mystery, but be sure that manifestations of this new endeavor are creeping into his rare public performances. So be it. Amen. |
